Exceptional pair of well-fed 17th century putti, holding wheat sheaf (representing Summer, fertility and rebirth); and grapes (representing Autumn, prosperity and abundance). Fully carved to front and back.

Completely unrestored and original, with a stunning patina, wood splits and marks reflecting their substantial age. Surprisingly solid and weighty pieces of rare quality and character. 

Both with strong metal hoop attachments for hanging (can be removed).
