Circa 1690, fauteuil open armchair with superb figural and mythical beast needlework. Acanthus scroll-ended open arms on S-scroll carved front supports. Horse-bone front legs and baluster-turned rear legs joined by a matching H-form stretcher and a leafy-scroll carved fore-rail. Needlepoint and chair overall in superb original condition.
